Say what?!

We were in the middle of a story yesterday, and one of the actors was a student that speaks Spanish at home, named “Jimmy”. In the story, Jimmy got yelled at, and I (as the narrator) said, «Jimmy se enoja» (Jimmy gets angry). And Jimmy said, «¡enoja!». I repeated, «Jimmy se enoja», and made an angry face to try to encourage Jimmy to look angry. And he said, «¡enoja!» So I paused the story and said, “No, Jimmy, you are not supposed to “say” enoja, your are supposed to «se enoja». The «se» is a Spanish word not the English word”. And he repeated, «enoja». So finally I wrote «se enoja» on the board. And he finally got it. Haha!
